What are my options if I (or one of my guests) are unable to attend due to contracting covid-19?

  • We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance which provides coverage for the cost of your trip in the event you are unable to attend due to contracting covid-19. If you or someone in your crew contracts covid-19 before joining us, you will not be entitled to a refund.

  • Travel insurance covering covid-19 disruption is widely available and affordable. Speak to our Customer Service team if you need recommendations for what is required in your policy.

What happens if I test positive during the week?

  • If you test positive during your trip you will be required to isolate yourself from the rest of the group and leave your yacht at the earliest opportunity. This will mean the end of your trip. You will then need to follow the procedures that are in place for positive cases in the destination country.

  • The rest of the guests will be required to take a rapid covid-19 test. If any guests test positive, then they will also be required to leave the yacht. Guests testing negative will be permitted to continue.

What happens if my skipper or host tests positive before the week?

  • If your skipper or host test positive before your trip (and therefore must enter an isolation period) we will do our best to provide a replacement from our pool of standby staff.

  • If we are unable to replace your skipper, then we will offer a full refund for your trip as you will not be able to sail.

  • If we are unable to provide a replacement host, then your crew will be refunded for your host and will be able to continue the trip without a host on board.

  • If we are unable to find a replacement skipper, then your yacht will be returned to the base marina and your crew will be refunded for the remaining days of the trip.

  • If we are unable to find a replacement host, then your crew will continue the trip without a host, and a refund on the host cost pro-rata for the remaining days.
